Hi, I’m Sam.

I bring 20 years’ experience to the finishing stages of moviemaking, working across feature films, documentaries and television. I work closely with directors, cinematographers and post-production teams to shape images with nuance and cohesion – always in service of the story.

I’m Dolby Vision certified and deliver for streaming, broadcast and cinema. For larger deliveries, I draw on a trusted network of editors and post-production specialists, ensuring projects are supported at every step. My cumulative experience across departments (editorial, visual effects and DI finishing) has equipped me with a deep knowledge of post pipelines, as well as the confidence to step-in as needed with conforms, online editing, turnovers, compositing, and DCP creation.

My creative work includes projects developed from early stages through to completion. Unboxed, a web series I directed and colour graded, attracted international attention, and was an end-to-end filmmaking experience that continues to inform my approach to film finishing.

Based in Tarntanya / Adelaide, I’m available to work from my studio, collaborate remotely, or integrate into existing workflows and facilities. Known for calm and focused sessions, I help teams move from “almost there” to an image that’s ready for the screen.
